Suzuki Motor Corporation is a Japanese multinational corporation headquartered in Minami-Ku, Hamamatsu. Suzuki currently stands as the 9th biggest automaker by production worldwide. Suzuki has over 45,000 employees worldwide and has about 35 main production facilities in 23 countries and 133 distributors in 192 countries. The history of the company can be traced back to 1909 AD with the start of Suzuki Loom Works by Mr. Michio Suzuki. The company diversified to the automobile business in 1937 but the company came into the limelight as dominant vehicle manufacture in 1954 AD with the company renamed Suzuki Motors co. Ltd. In 1959 Suzuki Suzulight mini vehicle was introduced which was credited to begin the automobile revolution in Japan.

Suzuki entered the Indian automobile industry through a Joint Venture agreement with Maruti Udhyog Limited in 1982. The production of M 800 in 1983 which was the first affordable car in India laid roots in the automobile revolution in India. Today Maruti Suzuki has near-monopolistic control in the Indian automobile market with over 1500000 cars produced annually through its two states of the art plants.

Suzuki cars entered Nepali Automobile in 1981 with Arun Intercontinental Traders (now part of CG | motocorp). Later the sale of the various product of Maruti Suzuki was also authorized to Arun Intercontinental p. Ltd. Currently, Suzuki cars are the no 1 selling car brand of Nepal with the largest sales, service, and spare network that cannot be matched by any other brand in the country. Suzuki offers the largest product breadth with products serving customers of different sectors. Currently, Alto 800, Spresso, Wagon R, Celerio, Swift, Baleno, Ciaz, Vitara Brezza, Scross, Ertiga, XL6 and Eeco Series is available in the country.
